Submission Guidelines...
Currently we are only looking for outdoor sculpture
and our first preference is to find and represent the local sculptors. Before you decide to present a
portfolio please spend some time
looking through this site to get a sense of the type of work we carry and the
price points. Also, we encourage you to personally visit Pippin Meikle Fine Art and
view the area we're developing for our sculpture garden.
Here is some other important information to keep in mind while deciding whether
to submit your slides:
Pippin Meikle Fine Art prefers to show the work of Santa Fe area sculptors.
Pippin Meikle Fine Art receives a 50% commission for all sold work.
After you've done your research and feel that you're a good fit for Pippin
Meikle Fine Art - here is the procedure to submit your portfolio:
1. Submit 12-20 slides or a CD/DVD of available work. Please be sure that each of your
slides is labeled with your name and the details of the work. Remember, the
quality of your images will affect our response. (If we accept your work for display, you will
need to provide professional quality images for each piece of artwork we consign.)
2. Include a resume, cover letter, and statement about your art and be sure to
include a SASE for the return of your materials.
3. Electronic portfolios or Web site links are another acceptable method for
submitting your images.
4. Work is assessed for its quality, originality, and potential to enhance the
collection exhibited by the gallery. Our artists vary widely in terms of their
age, education and experience.
5. The review process takes from 6-8 weeks.
6. If your work is selected for further review, we will arrange an appointment
with you to see originals and visit your studio, if possible.
7. All of our works are on consignment from the artists. We have short-term,
renewable, non-exclusive contracts.
If you have additional questions about portfolio review, please call
505.992.0400 and we will be happy to assist you.
Please do not submit your portfolio without first checking with us.
We appreciate you and the efforts you're making with your art. Though it would
be nice to have the time to review all portfolios, we simply cannot do it. Any
unsolicited portfolios that are mailed to us without a return postage paid
envelope will be discarded.
